There are over 50 J70’s now sailing in British waters, with the majority of the fleet in the Solent. The class committee was formed by a bunch of keen owners who love their boats and want to encourage lots of big fleet racing, with the best shore-side entertainment too.

Each year the class put together a full calendar of events, and as the J/70 is World Sailing recognised, the boats can also compete at European and World Championships too. There is an exciting schedule of UK racing events for 2022 providing the best one-design racing, mostly consisting of short-course multi-race days.

The Royal Yacht Squadron and Royal Thames Yacht Clubs each have a fleet of 6 boats that are available to members for charter.
